WhAT REsources does wgec offer?

WGEC offers a range of services, including access to food/drinks, menstrual products, sexual health products, gender reaffirming items, hygiene products, and peer support (remote and virtual). We are always open to new requests and encourage students to alert of us any areas WGEC can be of assistance.  

Can i ask for specific items from wgec?

Yes! As long as the item falls within our general mission of offering students safe and equitable access to gender reaffirming products, sexual health resources, and personal hygiene items, WGEC will be happy to cover expenses up to $500. Receipts must be provided upon request. 

WHY SHOULD I SEEK PEER-SUPPORT FROM WGEC?

The WGEC team is carefully trained to offer students necessary support based on their personal needs. We are a group of active and empathetic listeners who can relate to the struggles that students may experience, being students ourselves. As such, the WGEC team takes great pride in offering advice, access to support, and taking actionable steps to ensure the concerns brought to us by students are addressed appropriately and within reasonable time. 

How do I request a specific item? 

We do not require formal requests for any items available in the office, including snacks, drinks, personal hygiene items, and sexual health products. Students are welcome to come in and grab any items they require. We also encourage students to ask us what we are currently offering at the office, and make an informal request for items that are out of stock. For specific sexual health and gender reaffirming items that we may not offer, students can email us at utmwgec.logistics@gmail.com to make a formal request.
